CC Alexander is a financial professional with a holistic, family-centered approach, who was born and raised in Aurora Illinois who came from a working class family with both of her parents being IBEW union electricians. She studied Economics and later received her Master's degree in Statistical Research design, in order to understand the impact of money and market trends on people, groups, and geographical regions, but also to equip her with the skills to put working class people in better financial positions. Curious about the modern changes in money and technology, she also obtained a professional certificate from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in FinTech (Financial Technology) and Blockchain Technology.
CC spent much of her career working for nonprofits utilizing her skills in statistics, data reporting, and budget management. She has seen first hand the impact and the difference having a financial plan can make for both businesses and families.
Her involvement in nonprofit management eventually led her to lead a local healthcare nonprofit out of foreclosure due to her meticulous strategic planning at a time of the agency's critical need. Her careful strategy made such an impact on the agency's future and financial wellbeing that it inspired her to want to work with families directly to help them attain financial wellness through planning strategies, to make a direct impact on the future of her community. She returned to the drawing board to become versed in financial planning strategies for families. Her mission is to help families plan for a financial emergency, mitigate or eliminate financial risk exposure, as well as create realistic long term strategies for the middle class family to achieve security and abundance.
Beyond her career in finance she is a doula and advocate for trauma-free birth; a yoga instructor; and an author, who published her method to shift one's habits in The Art of Quitting for Good, (2021), available at www.theartofquitting.org
She's also an artist, and has worked with local muralist Pierre Lucero on the mural now displayed in Waubonsee Community College's Latinx Center. Soon she will be donating her time on another community mural for her church, Aurora's own New England Congregational. When she's not busy helping families reach their financial goals, visiting a national park, or working on her next book, she's enjoying raising her beautiful, smart, and healthy children.
